Operation to seize illegal E-bikes

Today, a large-scale joint operation took place across several locations in Hyde Park and Queensway. Officers from the Hyde Park and Lancaster Gate wards were deployed alongside Immigration Officers to carry out targeted enforcement activity.

The aim of the operation was to address the use of illegal e-scooters and e-bikes, enforce road traffic legislation, and identify individuals involved in immigration offences. This joint approach was intended to improve public safety, reduce anti-social behaviour, and strengthen partnership working between agencies.

Outcome:

During the operation, officers seized four illegal bikes due to no insurance. In addition, five individuals were arrested for immigration offences.
